The Music Man is the story of a turn of the century, fast-talking salesman named Harold Hill who cons the good citizens of River City, Iowa into buying musical instruments by promising to create a boys band. There's only one catch, Hill doesn't know a clarinet from a saxophone. He expects to skip town with cash in hand, but is caught by the arms of the town's beautiful librarian, Marian.
